“PIONEER” COFFIN

The Pioneer is masterfully designed and expertly crafted with flat, recessed panels, three pull-out full grip handles on each side, and finger grips on each end.  The lids are in 2 pieces (1/4 head/shoulder piece & 3/4 body piece) and slide along a groove to hold them in place.  Lid pins on each end keep the lids in place. Made of all-natural pine, unfinished.

Add $150 for premium quality unbleached cotton muslin interior bedding and pillow.  Select the "Interior? Yes" option above to add the standard interior..

The coffin, toe-pincher, or cowboy style of funerary box is increasingly rare and therefore holds a special place of honor at The Old Pine Box.

1.  STANDARD PIONEER: 6’6″ L X 23.50 W (at shoulder joint) X 15″ D Interior Dimensions. (Exterior Dimensions: 84″L X 28″W X 17″H)

Fits in a standard 30″ vault.

2. POQUITO PIONEER: 5’6″  L X 20.5″ W X 15″ D Interior Dimensions. (Exterior Dimensions:  72″L X 25″ W X 17″H)

While our standard versions of caskets and coffins are built from locally sourced wood, can be unfinished, and only have 30 screws (which are covered), we offer completely metal-free versions of each model - for Kosher or environmental reasons.  These versions are also not built on the Sabbath.  Click for 100% Green/Kosher version.
