Please note: Approximately 200 cubic inches is an adequate volume for most human cremains. Urn sizes are
given by their exterior dimensions so you may know space requirements. Interior dimensions have been
calculated by figuring the 200 cubic inch capacity of the urn and allowing one inch of space between the
cremains and the lid (or top) of the urn. Pet cremains can be figured at 1 cubic inch per pound of live weight
(a 40lb pet would require a 40 cubic inch capacity urn). You may request larger or smaller sizes of any urn we
make.

~ To prevent contamination of the cremains, we apply no finish to the interiors of the urns
we craft. The exteriors are sealed with a minimum of four coats of clear, satin finish to
protect the urn without detracting from the wood's natural beauty. If the cremains are to be
interred you may request that the entire urn be left unfinished.
~ To avoid contributing to the destruction of the Earth's exotic forests, THE OLD PINE
BOX will not use imported hardwoods. Our urns are crafted from Sugar Pine but you may
request an alternative domestic wood from the following: Alder, Ash, Birch, Cherry,
Hickory, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Redwood, or Walnut. (Contact us for pricing of specialty

the American Forests programs that restore and maintain our national woodlands.
