Named for obvious reasons, this beautiful "Pioneer" variation, crafted from poplar
heartwood, starts out a bright pasture green. Once oiled and exposed to natural light, the
green mellows to a rich olive color. If the Tree Gods are smiling when we visit the
wood store, we may be able to select even deeper heartwood to produce a coffin with
streaks of purple, red or even blue. Hints of these colors can be seen in the picture above.
Unfortunately, since it is the pale green to white sapwood of the tree that is the most
common, we may not always have "The Green, Green Grass of Home" on hand. Please

The oil finish is standard on this coffin and it sells for just $875.
